It may surprise you to hear this, but there is actually more to the nightlife of Miami than just drink and dancing with the attractive youth of today. There is also food, and lucky for you, Miami has some of the best restaurants in the world.

No matter what Miami neighborhood you are in, the chances are good that you can find a world-class restaurant. The trick becomes not necessarily finding a good restaurant, but finding a good restaurant that is in your price range. To that end, today I recommend my favorite restaurants – both expensive and inexpensive, in the hopes that your dining experience can be that much better (I know, I’m a saint).

One of the more expensive restaurants (definitely worth the money) is Les Deux Fontaines Lobster Café and Bar. The restaurant itself is a 19th century mansion on South Beach, and features delicious lobsters and live jazz every night. Though expensive, it isn’t overly so, and well worth a look for someone who likes lobster (they have other fantastic food as well for those who aren’t fans of seafood) and wants a nice night out.

My favorite restaurant is located right in downtown Miami. I’ve talked about it before, but Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant is top-notch food for a price that is less than you might expect (I would call it ‘moderate’). They specialize in food from Ethiopia (of course), but also offer delicious fare from North Africa and the Caribbean – and it’s likely that most people haven’t enjoyed cuisine from any of these locations (they are all very tasty).

Last for this entry: Bahamas Fish Market. The décor isn’t fantastic, but the seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious. To top that off, the prices are scarcely more than you’d see in a Burger King. This is one of the most popular restaurants for the locals of Miami, and it’s easy to see why.

Well, these three fine restaurants should get you good and full. Happy travels, and happy eating/drinking/dancing/debauchery.
